We are the sole Developer and Designer of Offshore Oscillating Water Column Energy Converter with the invented method of Wave Surface Level Amplification, which is unknown to the world till date.

NAIK Green Energy will become a leader company in the wave energy field who can manufacture above the 10 Megawatts scale electricity generation per units. This is not achieved by any existing company in the field of wave energy. This confidence is because of our invented method of Wave Surface Level Amplification (Patent No. 328620), which gives maximum performance above 90 percentages on power of incidence wave height in comparison to other existing power converters.

We have designed our product in a such a way to assembled it by Nut-Bolt Technology and made of non-corrosive composite material and protective rubber coated steel structure, which leads to our product for long service life and low maintenance like ‘install and forget’. Through this innovative production design mass production can take effect in less period of time. Hence we accomplished our approach to delivering a competitive cost of energy to our client.

What we do

Wave motion is the most interesting and promising among the forms of ocean energy. During the process of wave power extraction, wave energy does not create any waste or emit CO2; it leads to no noise pollution and is also environment-friendly. Therefore our invention is focused on eco-friendly mechanism to generate electricity. Moreover, out of the abundance energy stored in waves, only a small part of it is used for commercial electricity generation today. There is approximately 8,000-80,000 TW/year of wave energy in the entire ocean and on an average about 1-10 TW with each wave crest transmitting 10-70 kW per meter front.

Oscillating Water Column (OWC)

As a concept, the OWC is probably the most studied and the best developed of all systems. In shore-based operation, it has demonstrated the reliability necessary for a viable plant, and there is no reason to believe that this reliability cannot be transferred to other platforms.

Land Installed Marine Power Energy Transformer (LIMPET OWC) is the worlds first commercial plant commissioned on 2000, United Kingdom.

How Does It Works?

The oscillating water column device has a chamber with its one end open to the sea and the other end vented to an air turbine.A propagating wave crest acts as a piston and compresses the air inside the chamber, thus forcing it out through the turbine.

Our Invention Offshore OWC

Our invention is relating to green energy technology through Offshore Oscillating Water Column a wave energy device for converting wave energy into electrical energy, via a mechanism of Wave Surface Level Amplification. Our Oscillating Water Column system is distinct from the onshore system because of its offshore capability in maximizing energy (electricity) generation, by our invented Wave Surface Level Amplifications methodology. This amplification methodology is not yet been explored by the prior system to our knowledge.

Little Buoy

The Little buoy device is a single oscillating water column designed for shallow water application, in approximately 10-15 m of water depth. It is a floatable submerged device and anchored to the seabed via appropriate anchoring system depends on the nature of the seabed.

The electrical output of a Little Buoy device will depend on the local wave strength and wave height. In a very good climate, a single Little Buoy device would be rated at 1 MW or more.

The unit can be dedicated to the production of electricity, desalinated seawater, or both.

Fat Buoy

The Fat Buoy device is a larger diameter device containing various numbers of water columns in it and a single Turbine Generator on top of it designed for deep water application and large utility scale power generation. It is a floatable submerged device and anchored to the seabed via appropriate anchoring system depends on the nature of the seabed, in approximately 30-80 m of water depth.

The electrical output of a Little Buoy device will depend on the local wave strength and wave height. In a very good climate, a single Fat Buoy device would be rated at 4 MW or more.

The unit can be dedicated to the production of electricity, desalinated seawater, or both.

Fat Buoy - H

The Fat Buoy - H Fat Buoy is a Hybrid device means it comprises two types of power generators, one is conventional Air Turbine and the other is Linear Power Generator. This device is a larger diameter device containing various numbers of water columns in it includes floatable Linear Power Generator and a single Air Turbine Generator on top of it.

This device is especially designed for the location where the wave heights are near three meters average in height and is a floatable submerged device and anchored to the seabed via appropriate anchoring system depends on the nature of the seabed, in approximately above 60 m water depth.

In a very good climate, a single Fat Buoy - H device would be rated at 8 MW or more. This unit is dedicated for the production of electricity only and can be installed in large number of array for hundreds of MW of Power Generation.
